It is an orthodontic treatment that uses clear aligners to correct the position of the teeth. These aligners are custom-made for each patient and apply gentle, constant force to gradually move the teeth into their desired position.

  • Clear aligners: The patient will wear each aligner for about two weeks before changing to the next one in the series. As the patient progresses through the aligners, their teeth will gradually move into the correct position. Patients should wear the aligners for most of the day, removing them only to eat and brush their teeth.
  • Prior oral study: Diagnostic tests based on various intraoral and extraoral photographs, cephalometric X-rays, and intraoral scanning.
  • Detailed patient information: We show our patients the ClinCheck results via an explanatory video, so they can see exactly how their bite will look at the end of the treatment before even starting.
  • First aligners and attachment placement: Attachments are bonded to the necessary teeth based on the prior study. We deliver the first set of clear aligners and explain how to use and maintain them.
  • Periodic aligner renewal: Each set of aligners is worn for approximately two weeks before being replaced, gradually moving the teeth into place.
  • Refinement: The final phase of orthodontic treatment, aiming to make fine adjustments to the tooth positions to achieve the best possible result.
  • Retention: The goal of retention is to keep the teeth in their new position, preventing them from shifting back and ensuring long-lasting results. Retainers can be fixed or removable. Fixed retainers are small metal bars cemented behind the teeth. Removable retainers are clear, extractable splints.
  • Brush your teeth twice a day for at least two minutes, using a medium-bristled toothbrush.
  • Use dental floss and/or an interdental brush at least once a day to clean between your teeth and below the gumline, where a regular toothbrush cannot reach.
  • Rinse your mouth with an antimicrobial mouthwash to help control the bacteria that cause plaque and gum disease.
  • Avoid sugary and sticky foods and beverages, which can increase the risk of tooth decay.
  • Limit the consumption of alcohol and tobacco, as they can stain your teeth and increase the risk of gum disease.
  • Visit the dentist regularly for dental check-ups and professional cleanings at least once a year.

Bleeding gums during brushing is a common symptom of gingivitis. However, just because it is common does not mean it is normal. Gingivitis is primarily caused by poor oral hygiene, which allows bacterial plaque to build up on the gums. The good news is that gingivitis is highly treatable and reversible.

To prevent bleeding gums, it is essential to maintain a proper oral care routine that includes brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash. Make sure to brush gently with a soft-bristled toothbrush, as brushing too hard can actually worsen the problem. Additionally, scheduling regular dental check-ups is vital for detecting and addressing gum issues early on.

If your gum bleeding persists or worsens, we recommend scheduling an appointment with us. Our dental experts can evaluate your oral health and provide a personalized treatment plan to combat gingivitis and keep your teeth and gums healthy.

Dental implant failure is a rare event, but it is essential to understand it. Unlike organ transplants, where “rejection” is an immune response from the body, in dental implants, the term “failure” is used to describe situations where the implant does not properly integrate with the bone (osseointegration) or does not function as expected.

The reasons behind dental implant failure can vary and may include factors such as poor pre-existing oral health, post-operative infections, healing issues, improperly placed implants, or incompatible materials. It is important to note that advancements in modern dentistry, combined with the expertise of highly qualified professionals, have significantly reduced implant failure rates.

To minimize the risk of dental implant failure, it is crucial to choose a highly skilled professional and carefully follow all post-operative instructions. Furthermore, maintaining excellent oral hygiene and attending regular check-ups with your dentist are key practices to ensure the long-term success of your dental implants.
